Fairly accurate, except the 70's theme is really the "50's Midwest." Some of the vestiges of the original Hitching Post's menu of 1952 still appear today (relish tray, shrimp cocktail, and all inclusive menu pricing), yet we've added many notable modern items (like the Grilled Artichoke with Smoked Tomato Ancho Chile Mayonnaise) that honor out theme of "oakfired-inspired cuisine." You are correct that our website wine notes are outdated (we're working on that), but our wines aren't! Today we make our wines at Terravant Wine Company in Buellton, a state-of-the-art must-see facility (www.Terravant.com), and they've got a new tasting room and Tapas menu called Avant.
